Rebecca Taylor - HR Consultant BA (Hons) Chartered FCIPD

Rebecca has over 20 years’ experience of working within a host of HR environments. The most recent 10 years have been spent providing HR consultancy advice to a wide range of clients – first at HRg Limited and then latterly, since 2011, working for herself at Taylor Made HR Solutions. Rebecca’s work involves a wide range of project and transactional HR activities and she has spent a significant time supporting clients as an integral part of their management teams. Rebecca has provided maternity cover for a multi-site client undergoing TUPE processes. She has completed on going work for Gilchrist & Soames UK Limited supporting in complex operational HR issues and been integral in a large structural and cultural change programme at the Road Haulage Association. Rebecca has completed two four-month interim assignments at Peterborough Regional College where she overhauled the recruitment process and undertook a range of recruitment activity across a variety of specialist roles. She has implemented a new employee benefits programme with one of her clients. A five month interim project as a HR Manager at Twycross Zoo was testament to her ability to build effective relationships and make a significant positive impact in a short space of time. Other client work includes running outplacement programmes, contract alignment, policies and procedures review and the creation new employee handbooks. Advice to clients on a wide range of difficult HR issues such as TUPE, restructuring and complex disciplinary and grievance handling occurs on a regular basis. Many of Rebecca’s existing clients have remained with her through the transition from HRg to her own business which is testament to her success.

Rebecca’s experience incorporates over 10 years’ experience managing an integrated and professional HR function, dealing with operational and strategic issues in a variety of organisations. Although originally employed as Head of HR and Development during her last ‘in house’ HR role, Rebecca’s organisation (an outsourced Customer Relationship Management business) soon offered her the role of Group Organisational Development Director and a place on their Operating Board after the success that she had in changing the perceptions of the HR function and delivering an outstanding service. This involved a restructure of the team with a new HR strategy and an integrated way of working with the business and its clients. Her sound commercial and cultural acumen has played a large part in the winning of major contracts with clients such as Mercedes-Benz, Great Little Trading Company, Hamleys, HMRC, Cancer Research UK Race for Life and First Choice.

Rebecca has successfully designed and implemented bespoke competency frameworks with associated role profiles and management training for various clients. Other projects include the design and delivery of Employment Law workshops for Managers, high volume recruitment activity, TUPE (both acquisitions and outsourcing), compulsory and voluntary redundancy programmes and the creation and implementation of HR strategies. Rebecca’s previous roles have covered responsibility for HR, Learning and Development, Health and Safety and Payroll functions. Rebecca has experience in working across a range of sectors, to include financial services, travel, distribution, not-for-profit and manufacturing.

Rebecca’s career began after a 4 year European Business Studies degree, where she spent a year studying at the University of Geneva. After selecting International HR Management as a major option in her final year, she began her studies to complete her IPD (now CIPD) Professional Qualification Scheme. She became a Fellow of the CIPD in 2012.

As well as being a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Rebecca belongs to the British Psychological Society and is qualified to Level B in Aptitude Testing and Personality Profiling. She holds the necessary qualifications to be able to administer, score and provide feedback for Saville and Holdsworth (SHL) psychometric testing materials, and has been approved as an SHL Partner.

Rebecca’s key strengths are her excellent commercial sense, her pragmatic approach and her ability to adapt easily to the varying requirements of different clients.
