The NMW increased on 1st April 2025 and workers over the age of 21 are now entitled to a minimum rate of pay of £12.21 per hour. The apprentice rate has seen a big increase from £6.40 to £7.55 per hour. 18-20 year olds must now earn a minimum of £10.00 per hour, and the rate is £7.55 for 16-17 year olds (the same rate as apprentices)
